A two hour fun filled Cape, Duster, Cover-up  Class with the Master of the Cape Gabriella Maze. Learn to move yards of fabric with ease  and look good doing it ! placement of feet and body are very Important when working with yards of fabric learn to move fast or slow yes it takes alot of movement and is a workout in its self  with lots of body movements !  So come learn with the best and leave feeling confident Oh and did I mention workout ! You will need to bring one of the following to this class  Cape, Duster, Cover- up . Or anything you want to use that has tons of fabric. I will be bring one Duster and one Cover-up but depending on the size of the class it is best you bring your own . You will also learn the importance of weight and style of the fabric in order to get the best effect for your performance  So come learn to glide and flow across the stage with ease

Moving directly into flexibility training for the last 30 minutes.Flexibility is a key pillar of overall well-being, health, body alignment, and symmetry – and consistent training of these proven techniques will bring your flexibility to new heights. *some classes may end with a few key movements on the pole you can practice in progression* All fitness levels welcome.  

Barrel curls, Victory Rolls, Pin curls, Finger waves, learning the basic technique's to create beautiful vintage hair styles that last all night! Lady Doo Moi has 17 years of experience under her garter belt creating vintage styles. She will show you some tricks that make styling fun and easy. Bring a pen and notebook and don't be afraid to get your fingers sticky!!

This class is designed to bring out the sensual side (and maybe the inner-freak of any participant!) Meredith will guide the students through a slow sensual warm-up and exotic stretch followed by sexy struts across the floor and end with a sexy, bedroom choreography on chairs! Walk away from this class feeling like a woman!! 

Not sure how to make you music do what you want?  Learn to mix, manipulate, and create with digital editing software to make a track worthy of that costume you've been slaving over for months. By the end of class, learn to 1) use listening skills for selecting performance tracks, 2) make simple song edits, 3) mix two songs together for a 4:00 minute routine.
 
Some music editing software is FREE online. Feel free to bring a project you're already working on to get answers in class, time permitting.

On it, around it, over it, about it, under it- learn all the different ways in which to best utilize your most sturdy on-stage friend, the chair. It's not just for sitting, it's for teasing. Learn how to move with it, learn how it doesn't have to just sit still, and learn some fancy tricks to pull out of your proverbial glove in this 1-hour class.

Please wear exercise/yoga type clothing, and bring a pair of sturdy heels that you would frequently use on stage. This class is for women or boylesque performers only. 

This is a unique fusion of Tribal Bellydancing, focusing on the electronic music. Imagine Zoe Jakes with even more illusionary moves!! We will be working on feminine styles of popping, ticking, slow motion, robot, isolations and other illusionary moves that will be sure to leave the students talking for days! Using techniques found in her mentor’s book, “The Actor As Storyteller,” this workshop focuses on acting and specificity of movement to form a clear narrative – skills that will put your act over the top. This is a workshop based on a class Üla is developing for the New York School of Burlesque. Please wear clothes and shoes for comfortable movement.

This workshop covers the basics of creating stage costumes from store-bought, ready to wear garments. The class will focus on costuming for the burlesque stage, but will cover embellishment techniques that can be applied to any stage performer’s wardrobe.

Learn how to deconstruct and transform off-the-rack garments into eye-catching stage ensembles. Master the ins and outs of getting in and out of your clothes with a vast vocabulary of costume closures. Gussy up your getup with embellishment techniques guaranteed to liven your livery.  Explore the astounding underworld of burlesque addictions, with an in-depth discussion of rhinestones, feathers, and fringe.

Siren Santina shares her tools, techniques, and tips of the trade including what to buy and where to buy it. The class is a mixture of lecture, discussion, demonstration, and display and includes an up close, hands-on look at Miss Santina’s personal costume collection. Students are encouraged to bring pen and paper for note-taking and current costuming projects for Q&A.

Note: Sewing skills are not required for this course. While machine sewing will expedite many of the processes reviewed, alternate methods for non-sewers and hand-sewers will be discussed.

I would like to focus on hip isolation and making you ass clap! I would teach the girls and guys to not be shy about your behind and be proud to shake what your momma gave you! 
I also teach the history of bounce music and of ass tassels. How to ward off any unwelcome attention from people when dancing in a public place like a club or bar. 
I teach them how to do twerk, tick, how to do handstands, headstands, and splits while shaking your booty with tassels.
This is a class for the not shy, and it is a serious work out! So we do a good 30 minutes of stretching before we get started! 
I base this class off my experience as a bouncelesque performer and how awesome and liberating this experience makes you feel! 

As burlesque dancers, we want our body to perform skillfully and beautifully while on stage. Deanna Danger is known throughout the burlesque community for her graceful & technical performances that rely heavily on ballet technique. Deanna has been studying ballet for 20+ years, and she has crafted a class that brings this technique to the typical burlesque performer.

This 1 hour Ballet for Burlesque dance class is aimed to give students a basic understanding of ballet positions, movement, and technique. Ballet has been an essential form of dance recommended for dancers, performers, and athletes of all genres to learn grace and fluidity in movement, as well as posture and form for the whole body. 

This class is for students wanting to learn how to:
-maximize arm and leg extension lines
-correct torso, neck, and head posture
-hand and foot positioning
-balance and proper movement technique

The session will include both ballet bar, and floor work, all set to fun and inspiring musical choices (not your boring ol' piano ballet music of yore). No dance experience is required. Ballet or jazz shoes are recommended but not required (please come barefoot otherwise). Tight fitting athletic/yoga type clothing is required (please no loose fitting pants that hide the ankle). Hair must be up and off the neck. Class open to women and men.

What we know as Belly Dance is a traditional dance from from the Middle East. To Victorian sensibilities, at a time when Western women wore corsets, Fatima's dance performance in the "Street of Cairo" exhibit at the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1893 seem a tantalizingly exotic show of sensual delight. Fatima became known as Little Egypt in a time when Orientalism was flourishing in the West, and thus the legend was born. Many performers have since taken the name, both burlesque and belly dance, mainly to bring about a feeling of the exotic to their stage performances. The original moves from Fatima's culture were copied and changed to suite the skill level and the abilities and style of performers without a traditional teacher. This experimentation created new moves that changed not only burlesque, striptease and belly dance but influenced other forms of dance most notably Modern Dance. In this class learn about undulations & rolls to add serpentine grace and shimmies & locks to add a little extra pop to your burlesque performance. 

The Lady Ms. Vagina Jenkins teaches you what to look for in hair pieces, where to buy, how to "root" and blend your hairline for a more natural look and how to style wigs for those great big vintage hairdos! The higher the hair, the closer to god, y'all!

Learn how to wear, wrap, whisk, swirl, twirl and flow dusters, panels and negligees. Panels and negligees will be available to work with. Feel free to bring your own if you have them. Please wear comfortable body hugging clothing and bring heels. 

Makeup is such an integral tool for any performer which often puts the final bit of polish on an act or character, and thus is an important skill to cultivate. A dynamite act's impact is often lessened due to shoddy makeup, and conversly, a LOT can be hidden or disquised with it's proper application. 
Come learn what sets performance makeup apart from everyday makeup. This class will cover the basics of what every performer needs in her kit, and how to work within constrained budgets to attain the look you want. Come prepared to take any notes you'll need and with plenty of questions.  

This class is filled with exercises that provide performers with the knowledge and skill to think on their feet. Things don't always go as planed on stage, and this workshop will teach you how to deal with it.

This is a rare opportunity to get advice or opinions and ask Shannon Doah about what it was like performing burlesque in her day. She has more than 35 years of experience performing Burlesque Strip Tease. She began as an Exotic Dancer in 1960’s San Francisco and Los Angeles clubs and theaters. She starred in the first ever U S rendition of the original “Crazy Horse Paris Saloon” production in Hollywood. Represented by Sparky Blaine’s “American Showgirl” Agency and Jess Mack Las Vegas, she traveled as a “Feature Strip Tease” performer across the U S and Internationally. This was back in the day when Headliners performed matinee shows and returned that night to perform three or more 20 to 30 minute shows, six days a week!  She performed a verity of acts, including the use of a Giant Spider Web, a Bath Tub and a Revolving Couch as props

Learn the history and the language of stocking removal. In this class you will learn the history of hosiery, how to decipher those mysterious terms they but on the packaging, sample the different textures and styles and learn How to take them off. Stocking removal can be deadly serious act of mesmerism or add another level of completely unexpected humour. Don't leave this weapon of burlesque mass destruction undiscovered.  What you need:You will need a pair of garter hose, no fishnets, that you can practice with. Make sure it's not your favorite pair as you may run these and a garter belt of some sort if you have one. What you need to wear is something that you can access said garter/hose, like shorts or a skirt

Sluts love to give their all. And in this combination lecture and movement class the inner slut will be explored. The class opens with a brief discussion on the appropriation and race history and execution styles in burlesque, then continues with a brief physical warm up and leads into a slut infused dance routine. Attendees will learn how to bring their entire bodies to the stage. From a breath to a glare, no part will be left untouched. It wouldn’t' be proper slut etiquette. Bring a pen and a pad, heels, gloves and a slutty attitude. If you aren't a slut already, this class will turn you into one!   

Kitten de Ville, Miss Exotic World 2002 & the Queen of the Quake will teach you the way to shimmy and shake . Learn to bump and grind, tease and tantalize the Kitten de Ville way. 

Allow the "tush technicians" to not only reduce, shape and lift your butt so it looks good from every angle, but also help you enhance your Burlesque Performance by twirling tassels on the bottom! Tassels are fun on the top but WOW your audience with the tricks you will learn in this workshop by working your "assels."
