Okay boys and girls, we're in the home stretch to finish up this past fest's bills and get the deposit down for next year. To have the volunteer announcements sent to your email please join our email list: http://groups.google.com/group/sfbfvolunteers Sliding Scale Volunteer Ticket Prices: -If you were a volunteer last year you are eligible for a free weekend pass in exchange for 16 hours festival volunteer work or 32 hours pre-festival volunteer work -New volunteers can get a $50, weekend pass in exchange for 16 hours festival volunteer work or 32 hours pre-festival volunteer work. -Sliding Scale Fees: If you get Vendors, Sponsors or sell Program Ads you can get credit toward your weekend pass. If you get $400 of money brought in for the festival by January 1, 2012 you can get a free weekend pass. You can download all of the forms off the website. Ex: If Jane gets one vendor at $100 she can get $50 off a $200 weekend pass as she has raised $100 for the festival. If Jane gets one vendor at $100 and a sponsor for $50 she’ll get $75 off a $200 weekend pass as she has raised $150 for the festival. If Jane get one vendor at $100, a sponsor for $50 and a $250 program ad space then she will have a free weekend pass as she has raised $400 for the festival. Half of whatever you are able to raise in any combination of Vendors, Sponors and Program Ads goes towards credit for a discounted weekend pass. Volunteer Departments -Vendor Co-ordinator: This position will handle all communication with the festival vendors, do the lay out for vendor space, and assist in load in and break down before and after the festival and answer any questions the vendors may have as well as take in vendor forms for next year’s festival. Vendor Co-ordinator hours during the festival are Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 4pm-midnight, Friday, March 9, 2012 from 7am-6pm, Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 9am-6pm and Sunday, March 11 from 9am-6pm. We can get additional volunteers to assist in 4 hour shifts. -Registration Co-ordinator: This position will handle organizing and making the pre-paid registration packets for advanced ticket holders as well as be over volunteers working registration during the event. Registration Co-ordinator hours during the festival are Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 6pm-midnight, Friday, March 9, 2012 from 9am-midnight, Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 9am-midnight and Sunday, March 11 from 9am-4pm. We can get additional volunteers to assist in 4 hour shifts -Guest Co-ordinator: This position will handle making sure that special guests are given their schedules/itinerary, will help coordinate the Legends Escorts, will make sure that all show riders are taken care of and help handle any of the Guests needs. Guest Co-ordinator festival hours are Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 4pm-midnight, Friday, March 9, 2012 from 9am-3am, Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 9am-3am and Sunday, March 11 from 9am-6pm. We can get additional volunteers to assist in 4 hour shifts. -Legends Escorts: These people will have 4 hour shifts to assist the legends with escorting them around to events, help them with any errands they may need, etc… -Class Co-ordinator: This position will handle helping with class scheduling, organizing the prepaid student lists for each class, do check ins for each class and turn in class totals at the end of each class. Class Co-ordinator hours during the festival are Friday, March 9, 2012 from 9am-6pm, Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 9am-6pm and Sunday, March 11 from 9am-4pm. We can get additional volunteers to assist in 4 hour shifts. - VIP Co-ordinator: This position will handle making sure that the VIP pass holders are taken care of. Do seating charts for the VIP tables and reset the VIP tables between shows. VIP Co-ordinator hours during the festival are Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 6pm-midnight, Friday, March 9, 2012 from 6pm-midnight, Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 6pm-midnight and Sunday, March 11 TBA. We can get additional volunteers to assist at each show. -Security Co-ordinator: This position will handle making sure that all the doors are checked for people to have tickets and deal with any problems that may arise if people need to be escorted out of the show. Security Co-ordinator hours during the festival are Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 4pm-midnight, Friday, March 9, 2012 from 7am-3am, Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 9am-3am and Sunday, March 11 9am - TBA. We can get additional volunteers depending on number of positions needed. SHIFT HEADS: Each Co-Ordinator can have shift heads which will be in charge when the Co-Ordinator is un available. -Team Tallywackers: Each volunteer will be assigned to a judge during the pageant and will help tally their scores so we can find out the winners. So please come out and give your imput so we can make next year even bigger and better! One of the big changes is that we're hoping to have an advisory panel made up of Atlanta Burlesque Performers and Producers to help shape the future of the festival! We'll be honest, we weren't 100% sure this year was going to happen and now that it has and we're planning next year we'd really like to get the whole community involved.
